Rongali Bihu Sanmillan held in Demow

DEMOW, May 1: Under the patroge of different local organizations of Demow and with the help of the people of Demow, the Rongali Bihu Sanmillan started on Saturday with a two-day long programme at Demow Public Playground.

On Saturday, different local organizations of Demow hoisted their flags. After that the flag of the Rongali Bihu Sanmillan was hoisted by Prasanta Gogoi, president of Rongali Bihu Sanmillan. The smriti tarpan was offered by members of the organizing committee. Various competitions were held.

On Sunday, the dhol badan and Bihuwati competitions were organized. A cultural night was also held where popular singer Nil Akash performed.
