Rotary Club of Haflong Hills organizes mega free health camp

Haflong: With an aim to provide specialized medical facilities to the needy rural people of Dima Hasao, the Rotary Club of Haflong Hills organized a free mega health camp at Dehangi on Wednesday.

The venture was supported by the Health Department, Dima Hasao, and ASMI from Guwahati. A team of specialist doctors and supporting medical staff did health check-up of around 200 beneficiaries who were also given free medicines. Vision test was also conducted on the spot besides gynecology consultation, orthopedic consultation and general health check-up.

Rotarian Sanjita Bathari informed that follow-up procedures would be done for patients needing cataract surgery immediately by Rotary Club of Haflong Hills.

Rotarians Rajesh Mahajan, Dr Kaushik Kachari, Soma Khersa, Anful Naiding and Arun Thaosen conducted the camp under the leadership of president elect Samuel Changsan, who is also the Executive Member of N C Hills Autonomous Council.
