The Upper Assam Electricity Distribution Company Limited, Sivasagar Division has been unable to supply sufficient power to its consumers and frequent power cuts in recent times in Sivasagar have become a common feature. Such power cut amounting to 8 to 12 times and for an average of 4-5 hours daily in recent times have immensely irked the citizens of Sivasagar.
