Itagar, June 16: Aruchal Pradesh Chief Minister Kalikho Pul had a rrow escape when a loaded truck rammed into his carcade at Kolkata on Wednesday. The car in which the CM was travelling in was grazed on the rear side, but he escaped unhurt. The incident happened when Pul was on his way to Kolkata Airport after attending the meeting of the Empowered Committee of Fince Ministers, official sources informed here today. The main impact of the truck was on the escort Ambassador car of Special Branch (Protection), whose driver Sukanto Shil sustained minor injuries. It was the escort car that shielded the CM’s vehicle from being fully hit by the speeding truck. Expressing his concern for the injured driver, Pul has requested for the best of treatment for him. He thanked Kolkata Police for the prompt action in maging the crisis, the sources added.
