Rs 1.5 lakh contributed to DHSK College

Dibrugarh, May 8: Founder Vice-Principal and renowned educationist Dr Lakhi Prasad Dutta’s daughter contribute Rs. 1.5 lakh to DHSK College, Dibrugarh.

The amount will be fixed deposited and the interest will be awarded as Lakhi Prasad Dutta’s Memorial Award to the Best Arts Graduate of DHSK College every year. The amount was given to the college by daughter of Dr LP Dutta, Lekha Dutta on behalf of Dr. Lakhi Prasad Dutta’s family.

Recently in a meeting, Lekha Dutta contributed a cheque to the college Principal Dr. SK Saikia. The meeting was attended by Vice-Principal (academic) Kalpa Sengupta Baruah, Dr. LP Dutta’s son-in-law, Amales Dutta and daughter-in-law Rup nda. The meeting also resolved that Lakhi Prasad Dutta Memorial Lecture would be held on September 2, and renowned educationist Dr Amar Jyoti Choudhury and Vice-Chancellor of Dibrugarh University Dr Alok Kumar Buragohain will grace the occasion.
