Rs 14.5 lakh looted

JOYSAGAR, Feb 23:Unidentified miscreants looted a total of Rs 14.50 lakh inSivasagaron Wednesday. As per information received, the employees of Khangia Tea Estate went to UCO Bank on Wednesday to get cash for labour payment. After receiving the amount, the employees went to have refreshment near ASTC,Sivasagar. After returning from the hotel, they allegedly found the bag empty where they had stored the cash. Sivasagar Police registered a case in this connection and investigations are on but no cash has been recovered so far.
