Rs 55 crore for Aruchal under CRF

Itagar, March 16: The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highway (MoRTH) has released an amount of 55 crore to Aruchal Pradesh under Central Road Fund (CRF) for undertaking various road projects in the state.

The fund has been released following constant persuasion of the state government with the Centre, state PWD Minister Gojen Gadi, who is currently camping at New Delhi informed in a statement today.

Union MoRTH Minister Nitin Gadkari is scheduled to visit the state during his maiden visit to North East in the first week of April next, Gadi disclosed. Gadi disclosed that Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju, who is the nodal minister of MoRTH of NE states, is convening a high level meeting today at New Delhi to filise the sanction of 8 un-awarded road projects to Aruchal as well as early release of Rs 54.02 for the ongoing 11 projects in the state during the current fincial year.

The MoRTH has proposed to award the 8 projects to tiol Highway Infrastructure Development Construction Limited, a newly constituted central PSU, the minister added.
