Rs 8 lakh stolen from Duliajan LICI office

DULIAJAN, JANUARY 30:  Money was stolen by miscreants on Friday night from the satellite office of Life Insurance Corporation of India, Duliajan Branch.

According to Bank Mager Joydeep Dutta, the thieves entered the LICI satellite office, Duliajan on Friday night by breaking the grill of the windows and after breaking open the daily transaction locker, they took away Rs 8 lakh from the locker.

An FIR has been lodged at Duliajan police station. There is no facility of CCTV camera and night security system in the Duliajan satellite office of LICI. Duliajan Police in this regard has arrested one temporary employee med Mintu Baruah.
