Rural development schemes will be strictly implemented: CM

BARPETA, Feb 12: Saying that Sarbhog had always taken a special place in the political are of the State, Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal said that Sarbhog had given many soldiers to Indian Armed Forces who protected their motherland.
The Chief Minister iugurated the Bhalukadoba Bahumukhi Gramya Bhavan constructed at the cost of Rs 1.25 crore of the 13th Fince Commission at Sarbhog on Sunday. Reiterating that Central and State Government rural development schemes would be strictly implemented in the State, Sonowal said that people must extend their full cooperation for making these schemes successful. He urged the people to keep a strict vigil on the implementation of these schemes so that they could achieve their goals and benefit their intended beneficiaries. Saying that Chief Minister’s Samagra Gramya Unnyan Yoj (CMSGUY) scheme has allotted more than Rs 150 crore to Sarbhog, Sonowal asked full cooperation from the people to make the scheme successful. Saying that the State could only develop when the villages developed, Sonowal stated that the government was striving to make science and technology work for uplift of the villages. Saying that there must be a working relationship between the people and the government, Sonowal said that public must keep a close watch on the government’s actions. Barpeta Zila Parishad president Majibur Rahman Khan presided over the meeting while P&RD Minister ba Kumar Doley, local MLA and State BJP president Ranjeet Dass, MLA Ashok Singhi and Deputy Commissioner of Barpeta, Thaneswar Malakar and other dignitaries were present.    Chief Minister Sonowal also visited the Barpeta Xatra in the morning and Gorokhia Gosai Than at Sarbhog in the afternoon.
