Hojai, Jan 3: With a view to strengthen the Teli community, a general meeting was organized at Modern English School playground premises in West Karbi Anglong district. The meeting was chaired by Ramakant Sahu. After threadbare discussion, the meeting resolved that the Teli community was a backward class and it should be united for strengthening the community. The Teli community is placed under extreme backward class in other parts of India. A 31- member Sahu Teli Samaj was formed with Kshiteswar th Gupta and Bharat Sahu as president and secretary respectively.
