Sai signs Edelweiss Group as shirt sponsor

Bengaluru, Sep 4: Ace Indian shuttler Sai Nehwal on Friday signed a multi-year deal and also agreed to became the brand ambassador of Edelweiss Fincial Services Limited with the firm deciding to sponsor her jersey during matches.

The deal was initiated by IOS Sports and Entertainment which mages the World No.1.

"Edelweiss is a trusted friend as we go back a long time since our Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ) days where Edelweiss was one of the first companies to promote women empowerment and sports via OGQ," said Sai.

"For me, it's about building a winning proposition to max the game. Actually, now I can fully concentrate on my game because with Edelweiss as a trusted advisor who understands my needs, I know my fincial goals will be taken care of."

The World Championships silver medallist also posted her photograph on Twitter with Edelweiss logo on her shirt, adding a message: "Very happy to be the brand ambassador of Edelweiss my new shirt sponsor." IANS
