Sainthood of Mother Teresa celebrated

Dibrugarh, September 5: The Christian community of Dibrugarh, including the Nuns of Missiories of Charity, celebrated the Sainthood of Mother Teresa at a thanksgiving service held here at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Bishop House on Sunday. The thanksgiving prayer led by Bishop of Dibrugarh, and Joseph Aind was attended amongst others by several priests,  the  Catholic institutions like Don Bosco Higher Secondary School,  St.Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Little Flower Higher Secondary School, St. Joseph’s Semiry, Boniface Apostolic Home, St Xavier’s School , VG Hospital , Pragyalaya and Bishop Marengo Memorial Hostel, including the residents of the town. Attending the ceremonious event, the entire community expressed their gratitude to Mother Teresa. The congregation even prayed for gifting each one of us with a selfless heart and soul like Nobel laureate and Bharat Rat, Mother Teresa. At the prayer ceremony, Bishop Aind in his holy sermon, called upon all to walk towards the path of saintliness by matching the grace and virtues of Saint Mother Teresa. Devotiol dances, songs, drama on Saint Mother Teresa and a talk on the Messiah of the poor were also organized as part of the celebrations.  Mother Teresa was officially proclaimed as a Saint by Pope Francis, at a ceremony held at the Vatican City recently.
