Sal logs seized in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, Sept. 25: The Wild Life Division team of Chakrasila Kokrajhar seized a vehicle loaded with  illegal Sal logs from Hariguri lbari area in Kokrajhar district today. Sources said the mini truck bearing registration no As-16C/1614 carrying Sal logs was seized when it was on the way to Baksa from Chakrasila wildlife sanctuary in Kokrajhar district. The smugglers maged to escaped from the spot. The Beat officer of Chakrasila wildlife sanctuary said the value of the Sal logs could be of worth Rs. 150 lakhs approximately.
