'Salaries of employees being paid smoothly'

GUWAHATI, May 13: It has appeared in certain section of the News Papers that around 90% of State Government employees have not received the salaries for the month of April, 2015 due to fincial crisis. State Government clarifies that these reports are incorrect.  In fact normal salaries and pension of all the employees have never been held up by the State Government. As far as releasing April Month salaries, the Departments have been communicated the budget allocations by the Fince Department in the last week of April, 2015 due to switching from manual to electronic budget control system. However, some of the Treasuries reported that they did not receive the DDO-wise allocations from the Departments. As soon as the matter came to the notice of the Fince Deptt., special instructions were issued to the Treasuries to release the salary and pensions without waiting for DDO-wise budget allocations. Accordingly, Treasuries are releasing salaries and pensions of the employees on production of bills by concerned DDOs. In addition, State Government has also notified the enhanced Dearness Allowance after enhancing it from 107 percent to 113 percent with effect from 01.01.2015 and the same are also released to the employees upon production of bills promptly,a press release stated.
