Sampriti Rajkhuwa scales Arts peak

NAGAON, May31: Sampriti Rajkhuwa of Ramanujan Junior College, Nagaon brought glory to Nagaon by securing the first position in HS Final Examination 2018 in the Arts stream. Sampriti, daughter of businessman Jun Rajkhuwa and Lovely Rajkhuwa of Nagaon Khutikatia, obtained 487 out of 500 marks.

In an interaction with the local media here, she said she will take Sociology as a Major subject in BA course and will study in Delhi, adding she will do social work in the future and also would be a writer. She said she used to study 10 to 12 hours every day and did not take any private tuition.

She rued the issue of question paper leakage, saying, “The government should not take the issue casually. Instead, it should take it as a serious concern and find a solution to it while also simultaneously reforming the entire education system.”

On the other hand, another student, Tridip Bora of Concept Junior College, also brought laurels to the district by securing 2nd position in the same examination and stream. Tridip, who is the son of Moni Bora and Makani Bora of Chakarigaon village, said he will take Geography as his Major subject in BA and has a plan to be an IAS officer in the future. He also said reforms in the present education system is extremely compulsory. He did not take any private tuition.
