Sanction letters distributed among tea workers

Golaghat, Jan 9: As a part of the Chah Bagicha Dhan Puraskar Mela 2018 fortnight, the Golaghat district administration distributed 375 sanction letters to tea garden workers of 15 tea gardens under Bokakhat LAC at a ceremonial function held at Numaligarh Tea Estate on Tuesday.

Minister for Agriculture, AH & Veteriry, etc., Atul Bora handed over the sanction letters to 25 workers each from the 15 tea gardens for payment of the first installment of incentives amounting to Rs. 2,500 under this scheme. Deputy Commissioner Gaurav Bothra, IAS, SDO (Sadar) M Kutum, Lead District Mager, Probin Sonowal, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Budhen Hazarika, representatives of TAI, NETA and tea garden magement and other dignitaries were also present at today’s ceremony.  Sanction letters to rest of the tea gardens will be distributed over the fortnight in a phased manner.
