Sandhu loses in quarters of New Zealand squash meet

Palmerston North, June 5: Failing to translate a good start into a productive end, India's Harinder Pal Sandhu went down to the local challenger and second seed Campbell Grayson in four games in the quarter-fil of the NZ Intertiol Classic 2015 squash tourment here on Friday. The sixth seeded Sandhu led 9-7 in the first game, but Grayson caught up to square scores. The Indian, under pressure, hit two shots into the tin to give away the game. The slide began there before he briefly had the attention on him by plucking the third game with a smart change of strategy and finding the drops well.
However, the New Zealander was not to be stopped as he worked out a 11-9, 11-8, 8-11, 11-5 win to earn a semi-fil berth. IANS
