Sangha conference: Reception committee formed

SIVSAGAR, March 16: Preparations have been started for the 85th annual conference of the Srimanta Sankardev Sangha to be held from February 4 to February 7, 2016,  at Rupohi Pathar in Sivasagar district.

The main pandal of the conference will be med after Lakshith Bezbaroa, the doyen of Assamese literature.

Arrangements have been made to host at least 15 lakh Vaishvites who will be participating in the annual conference.

Meanwhile, a reception committee was formed here today with former Sankardev Sangha padadhikar Rajanikanta Dutta as president , APCC president and Amguri legislator Anjan Dutta as working president and Anda Kumar Bora as general secretary. As many as 42 sub-committees were also formed to make the conference a grand success.
