Sangma to raise different issues in Parliament

SHILLONG, Nov 17: Meghalaya elected representative to the Indian Parliament from Garo Hills Conrad Sangma and tiol People’s Party (NPP) president will be raising a whole lot of issues concerning the State in the ongoing parliament winter session. The Member of Parliament from Garo Hills will be taking up issues on the floor of the house on the pros and cons of demonetisation, impact of Act East Policy, strengthening infrastructure, connectivity in North-east India, amendment of the Sixth Schedule (District Councils) and law and order in the North-east. Sangma will also raise the issue of renewable energy, direct benefit transfer, youth and sports, border trade and border-related issues and protection of minority institutions.
