Sanitation Week observed at Binkandie

Silchar, Feb 14: Sanitation week, from February 8 to February 14, has been observed at under the aegis of Binkandie ICDS at Anganwadi Centre at 961 No. Jata L.P. School, Lakhipur Tea Estate. The programme was presided over by Ramlal Goala. CDPO L Kabung, in his speech, threw light upon the purpose and importance of observing sanitation week. Students were advised to keep their surroundings neat and clean and to participate actively in Swachch Bharat Abhiyan, which now enjoys an exalted status in the country. They were taught the importance of washing hands and keeping one’s body clean.

Staffs of various departments, education, forest and PHE along with representatives at GP level and students and their guardians, took an active part. Among others who spoke at the programme included supervisors of Binkandie ICDS, Minimahanta and Bidutoma Akhanda, Gonesh Roy, secretary, Divyan Club, Lakhipur Tea Estate, Cachar.
