Sankardev Sangha annual conference from February 4

GAURISAGAR, October 28: Srimanta  Sankardev Sangha  will hold its 85th annual conference at the historic Rupahipather, Sahaityarathi Lakshmith Bezbaruah Samannoy Kshetra in Sivasagar from February 4  to  February 7 next year in association with the people of Sivasagar.

As part of the programme, the laikhuta will be erected on November 8. In this connection a public meeting will be held. According to the schedule after am prasanga in the morning, Bhabendra th Deka, Padadhikar of Srimanta  Sankardev Sangha will erect the laikhuta. Later a public meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Bhabendra th Deka.

Prab Gogoi, Speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly and MLA Sivasagar LAC  will grace the meeting as chief guest. Imran Shah, former president of Axam Xahitya Xabha and Bhadra Krish Goswami, former president of Asom Satra Mahasabha will attend the meeting as guests of honour.

Besides, Virendra Mittral, Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar, Budhin Deori, Executive Director –cum-Asset Mager, Assam Asset, ONGCL, zira, Promod Saikia, Upa Padadhikar, Srimonta  Sankardev Sangha and Shah waz Choudhoury, Project Director, DRDA, Sivasagar will participate in the meeting as distinguished guests. The meeting will be iugurated by Babul Borah, chief Ssecretary  of  Srimanta  Sankardev Sangha.
