Sanskrit book on Sankardeva released

UDALGURI, March 5: A book in Sanskrit titled Sankardevmahakavyam was released at Udalguri on Saturday at a function held here at Bishnu Rabha Krishti premise. The book on Sankardeva has been written by Bidyapati Dahal and it was released by Tarapati Upadhyaya, noted litterateur and academician. He praised the efforts of writer Bidyapati Dahal for focusing on the life of Sankardeva in his lyrical poems in Sanskrit. This is the first book written in Sanskrit on Sankardeva. The book function was a part of Udalguri Festival’s literary programme. The programme was also attended by Bishnu Sarma Neupane, the president of Udalguri district committee of Asom Nepali Sahitya Sabha, reswar Deka, tiol award winning teacher and Gopal Krish Ojha, among others. Dimple Baruah, the assistant commissioner of Udalguri also attended this function.
