Saplings distributed among Mangaldai College students

MANGALDAI, July 7:  “Start any good work with plantation” with this motto the Mangaldai Branch of Assam Science Society and IQAC, Mangaldai College with the help of Social Forestry, Mangaldai distributed about 200 numbers of saplings of fruit plants of local variety to the students admitted into the B.Sc. 1st Semester in Mangaldai College for the academic session 2016-2017.

Speaking on the occasion, Paresh Kumar Sarma, Coorditor IQAC in his speech said, “This kind of unique initiative will create awareness among students, guardians and citizens about plantation.” He further pointed out that through such programmes, the College tried to make people feel that only plantation could save the life on earth.

Earlier, Dr. Khagendra Kumar th, Principal of the college, in his speech appealed to the guardians and students coming for admission to collect one sapling each after getting admitted to the B.Sc programme and to take necessary care for its growth.
