Sarada Math branch to be set up in Silchar

Silchar, February 21: Preparations are on foot to set up an unit of Sarada Math - Mission here in order to perpetuate the ideals and principles as well as messages of Swami Vivekanda and Mother Sarada. Sarada Math – Mission was the dream of Vivekanda, the revolutiory monk, who stirred the entire world by his Chicago speech. It would also be a Mission to carry forward the noble and sublime thoughts and ideas of Mother Sarada.   In this perspective, Revered Provrajika Amalapra Mataji, general secretary, Sri Sarada Math and Ramkrish Sarada Mission, Dakshineswar, Kolkata, is reaching here as revealed by the reception committee formed for the purpose under the banner of Sri Ramkrish Mukta Mancha. According to the information, after her arrival at the Kumbhirgram Airport, a reception by her devotees and followers would be offered at the point of Sadarghat bridge, the entry point of the town. Later on, Mataji would pay homage to Swami Vivekanda statue.

  Following day in the morning, she would offer her prayer at the feet of Thakur Ramkrish and then visit the proposed land at Borakhai, Meherpur, the site selected for the Math – Mission. The second day of her visit would conclude with her messages before the devotees assembled at Banga Bhavan. She would wind up with a meet with students of Vivekanda Kendra Vidyalaya Ramgar and then depart for Kolkata.

  Tushar Kanti Bhattacharjee, on behalf of the reception committee, said the proposed Math – Mission here would be a source of divine inspiration to the followers and all of them would join together “to pray to Sri Sri Thakur and Ma to fulfill our hearts desire”. It was the advice of Mataji. Her visit here has come as an inspiring and ennobling force to make all of them happy and delighted. It was the long felt wish of the followers and devotees to have a centre of Math – Mission in this town. Mataji, a devout and dedicated disciple of Swami Vivekanda, who on the occasion of the completion of 100 years of the Chicago was the lone representative to deliver Chicago address. The details about the three day visit of Mataji were briefed to the media-persons at Silchar Press Club today. Those present at the meet included Shova Sen, Dipali Dhar, Subhash Das, Jhar Paul, Karumoy Paul and Swapan Paul.
