Sarat Saikia joins BJP, Gul, Monowar cross over to Congress

Guwahati, March 26: Denied ticket, three-time Congress MLA from Mahmora Sarat Saikia today joined the BJP. Saikia joined the saffron party at Jorhat airport in presence of Prime Minister rendra Modi. On the other hand, AIUDF MLAs Gul Akhtara Begun (Bilasipara East) and Monowar Hussain (Goalpara East) joined the Congress. The duo was denied tickets for the upcoming polls by the AIUDF. They joined the Congress in presence of State Congress president Anjan Dutta in Guwahati.
