Sarbanda to attend Shillong programme

SHILLONG, Feb 1: The Honourable Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Youth Affairs and Sports, Sarbanda Sonowal will attend a curtain raiser for the 12th South Asian Games 2016 at the State Convention Centre in Shillong tomorrow.

Sonowal will be the Guest of Honour, with Honourable Chief Minister of Meghalaya Dr Mukul Sangma as the Chief Guest. Honourable Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs and Co-Chairman of the 12th South Asian Games Zenith Sangma will also grace the occasion.

The programme, which will commence at 5:30pm, will also witness the launch of the official Games Jingle and Special Cover and My Stamp by India Post.
