Sarupathar College shines at DU youth fest

DERGAON, Feb 2: Sarupathar College of Golaghat has performed commendably in the recently-concluded Dibrugarh University Youth Festival at DHSK College, Dibrugarh.

While Pabindra Borgohain bagged the best actor award in the play Tumi Mok Beya Paisa Neki Deuta, Asish Banik won five awards in singing – modern song, Jyoti Sangeet, Bhupendra Sangeet, bhajan and Jayanta Hazarika’s songs. In the group dance contest, the girls’ troupe of the college bagged the third prize in Jeng Bihu. The students’ team was led by Prof Prashanta Poddar and Dr Prapti Thakur.
