'Sarupathar voters seek change'

FROM A CORRESPONDENT
Golaghat , April 2: The people of  greater Sarupathar region in Golaghat  have been suffering from a lot of problems.  The people elected their representatives to get solution to their problems but in return got only disappointment. Sarupathar is one of the major Legislative Assembly Constituencies in the State which has been facing problems like infrastructure development , unemployment, underprivileged tea tribe community and most importantly, the border problem as this constituency is bordering neighbouring State galand. People alleged that both the Congress and the BJP had cheated them. So this time the people of Sarupathar want change and are looking for an altertive. This time the people are focussing on candidate instead of political party. They have given preference to young and local leaders who can understand their problems and feelings. The newly formed Trimul BJP seems to be a good altertive wanted by the people.
The founder of the party, Biswajit Phukan is gaining popularity in the greater region. Biswajit Phukan, who is a well-known businessman and social activist in Golaghat, origilly hails from Sarupathar. Phukan and his Trimul BJP partymen interacted with the people by organizing public meetings and rallies and trying to understand various problems and sufferings of the people of the greater region.
