SAZPKS strike paralyses works for third day

SIVASAGAR, Oct 25: Employees of the district administration in Sivasagar have continued their non-cooperation agitation for the third day on Wednesday demanding solution of various grievances, which include salary and perks on par with Secretariat employees, honorarium for their works in the earlier Assembly and Panchayat Elections, equal grade pay for stenographers of the DC’s offices with that of senior assistants.  It also opposed the state government’s conspiracy on inter-district transfer of DC’s Office employees, taking back the 3 percent additiol money it had given to the district employees, etc. District administration employee and staff gathered in front of DC’s office on Wednesday on its third day agitation, which was organized under the banner of Sadou Asom Zila Prashashan Karmachari Santha, Sivasagar Zila Samity.
