'SBI ATMs equipped with sufficient cash'

GUWAHATI, May 6: State Bank of India , North Eastern Circle, strongly denies the fact of insufficient cash in the region. “We have official record of 88-90 per cent cash availability in ATMs and all the branches are equipped with sufficient cash. There may be some difficulties like electricity power failure, network connectivity issues due to prevailing storm and heavy rains in few places. However, overall situation of cash currency availability is quiet normal all across the North eastern States,” SBI CGM (NE circle) PVSLN MURTY said.

Meanwhile, he urged all the media houses not to publish such distorting news. With this release, Murty also requested the people of this region to abstain from the spread of such panic in the social media also. Meanwhile, RBI is making all possible arrangements in regard of the uninterrupted supply of cash in the region, the release stated.
