SBI celebrates World Environment Day

GUWAHATI, June 6: On the occasion of ‘World Environment Day’, State Bank of India, Regiol Business Office Guwahati Metro had organized tree plantation drives at various locations throughout the city. Pramila Rani Brahma, Minister of Forest and Environment and Ranjit Dutta, Minister of Handloom and Textiles attended one of the functions organized at the Ministers Residential Complex, Assam Secretariat, Dispur. Regiol Mager SBI Guwahati Metro along with the Chief Mager of SBI Assam Secretariat Campus Branch were present at the function. Another such plantation drive was attended by S.K. Srivastava, IG BSF along with Gautam Bhattacharyya, SBI General Mager Network-1 which was organized at SBI Guwahati Airport Branch premises.

In the similar lines, branches of Guwahati Metro Region carried out tree plantation drives at different locations like CRPF Amerigog Group Centre Campus, Institute of Science and Technology, Gauhati University, Assam Engg. College campus, Sector-3 IOCL Residential Complex, Kochpara High School, Satgaon, Schools and Community hall at Lal Ganesh, Manjushree Poly Pack factory, Jalukbari and SBI Maligaon Branch premises.  Road show was also organized in the streets of Lal Ganesh. To mark the occasion, Hari Har Patik, SBI Regiol Mager Guwahati Metro has earnestly requested all SBI customers to use the paperless Green Channel Counters available at all SBI Branches promoting “Green SBI Green Guwahati”. This was stated in a press release.
