SBI initiates bimonthly lecture series

Guwahati, Sept 20: SBI has taken a new initiatives of a speaker series med “Bimonthly Lecture Series” from this month and kicks off its first series on “Challenges of Network Connectivity in North East & Possible Solutions” which was hosted at SBI Local Head Office. The iugural speech was given by PVSLN Murty, Chief General Mager, SBI NE Circle followed by four invited speakers viz. Dr. Shikhar Sharma, Registrar, Cotton University, Diganta Barman, Senior Technical Officer, tiol Informatics Centre, Nitin Moolchandani, Chief Technical Officer, Airtel, Mahesh Kumar Seth, Chief General Mager, BSNL (Supported by Pankaj Das, GM BSNL) in presence of Digmanu Gupta, Om Prakash Mishra, GMs, Kaushik Sinha, Circle Development Officer, SBI, Executives and representatives from various banks, guest Customers besides officials from SBI.

Many semirs, talk shows, speaker series are being conducted for the development of society, socio-economic status, health sector, improvement of various connectivity etc. in this region and many of these are being sponsored by SBI also, but the impact and implementation was not brought out positively in most of the cases.

The lecture series was preceded with valuable speeches from all four guest speakers on the topic of the series. The lecture series was concluded with vote of thanks from Digmanu Gupta. This was stated in a press release.
