SBI MD visits Mizoram

Aizawl, October 17: Maging Director (NBG) of SBI,B.Sriram made a visit to Aizawl to chair Special SLBC meeting for the State of Mizoram. In the high level meeting which was attended by the Chief Minister of Mizoram Lal Thanhawla, RBI Governor Dr.Raghuram Rajan, 4(four) Dy Governors of RBI and Chief General Mager of SBI, N E Circle, PVSLN Murthy  several important issues in regard to banking activities of the state of Mizoram were discussed. The meeting was also attended by several other senior executives of Banks and State Government Officials.

During the visit of B.Sriram, SBI made a dotion of Bus to Christian Hospital, Serkawn and an Ambulance to Synod Hospital under the scheme of Corporate Social Responsibility. The two charitable hospitals in Mizoram have been rendering commendable health care and conducting awareness campaigns among the rural people of the state for the past many years. In his speech during the dotion programme,Sriram commended various welfare initiatives under taken by the NGOs and other charitable institutions in Mizoram, and State Bank of India as a responsible corporate citizen will continue to support such endeavours in future.This was stated in a press release.
