SBI organizes fincial literacy-cum-KCC recovery camp

HOWRAGHAT, September 18:  Fincial literacy-cum-Kisan Credit Card (KCC) recovery camp was organized by Howraghat State Bank of India (SBI) at its official hall on Saturday. A number of farmers from different places participated in the fincial literacy-cum-KCC recovery camp organized under the smooth initiative of Sujit Sarkar, Branch Mager and Lalkokai Doungel, field officer, Howraghat SBI branch.  

Both the bank officers highlighted elaborately on the scheme and benefits of Kisan Credit Cards (KCCs) to the farmers. Sarkar said the KCC card was valid for five years and the loan limit was fixed on the basis of scale of fince and land holdings. The farmers had to complete formalities only at the time of issue of KCC, he added. While addressing the farmers, Sarkar also highlighted the new schemes introduced by the bank regarding NEFT, RTGS Western Union Money Transfer and State Bank Buddy facilities. Explaining about the facilities of SBI buddy, Sarkar urged all bank customers and KCC loan borrowers to download the app and enjoy a host of utility services such as bill payments, mobile recharge, DTH recharge, fund transfer to buddy user, air, rail, bus tickets and shopping.

While interacting with media persons, Sarkar said that 33 farmers repaid their loan. Around Rs 55,000 was recovered on the first day yesterday from the KCC loan borrowers. He expected more recovery in the next camp to be organized soon.

Meanwhile, he urged the farmers as well as bank loan borrowers for timely repayment of their loans to obtain renewal benefits and loan benefits.
