SBI organizes fincial literary camp

TANGLA, June 8: State Bank of India (SBI), Tangla branch organized a fincial literacy camp at Suklai village of Udalguri bordering Indo-Bhutan on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Ranjan Kalita, Field Officer of Tangla SBI, said small tea growers of the district who had taken loans from SBI but had not repaid them on time had brought bad reputation to Tangla SBI. He urged the tea growers as well as bank loan borrowers to repay their loans timely to obtain renewal and additiol loan benefits. The function was presided over by president of Bodoland Small Tea Growers Association (BSTGA), Rabiram Boro. The bank officials apprised the locals of various benefits offered by the bank in terms of loan for growth of their entrepreneurship.

The programme was also attended by Tarun Mushahari, secretary of BSTGA, Nuhastan rzari of Tangla SBI among noted persons of the locality along with a number of small tea growers.
