SC intervention gives relief to building owners

SHILLONG, Oct 6: Thirteen building owners earlier listed by the Meghalaya High Court for dismantling of additiol floors, received respite from the Supreme Court till October 12. This was after the affected building owners sought the intervention of the apex court. It may be noted that on September 28 the Division Bench of the High Court of Meghalaya comprising Chief Justice Uma th Singh and Justice TNK Singh in its order had set a 15-day deadline for the demolition of additiol floors (above G+3) of at least 20 buildings.
