Scholar invited to Chi

GUWAHATI, Sept 13: Sangeeta Gogoi,  who teaches Political Science at Mangaldai College has been invited to deliver a key note speech in the 2015 Chi-ASEAN Forum on Paddy Rice Culture tobe hosted by the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and co-organized by Department of Culture and Department of Agriculture of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Chi, from September 15 to 17 in nning City of Guangxi of Chi.

The theme of speech is ‘Philosophy of Paddy Rice Culture - Preservation, Inheritance and Development of Chi-ASEAN Paddy Rice Culture’. The title of Gogoi’s  speech is , “Jotei pani, tatei pothar; jotei pothar, tatei Tai’: (paddy field/pothar), the root of the Tai- Ahom Culture in Assam”.
