Scholarship, power tillers distributed

BOKAKHAT, July 8: The Tea and Ex-Tea Garden Labour Welfare Department distributed scholarship to tea students and power tillers to six beneficiaries of tea tribes in a meeting presided over by Tapan Karmaker, secretary Bokakhat ACMS recently. The amount of scholarship given to HS students was Rs 1,850 to Rs 2,500 and Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 was given to students pursuing graduation. In addition to this, 100 football were distributed among 50 football teams of the tea-tribes. Arun Phukan, MLA Bokakhat, Pratima Bormon, Subdivisiol Welfare Officer, councilor Dharmeswar Kurmi, Utpal Sautal and many others spoke on the occasion.
