School building iugurated

Donkamokam, April 24: KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang, in presence of EM Dhonsing Kro, iugurated a school building approved in AWP &B 2013-14 under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) at Menmiji High School under Bithung Rengthama MAC Constituency in West Karbi Anglong. Later while speaking at the public meeting he said that development in the education sector in the district was his topmost agenda. “I dreamt that our district developed educatiolly and for this reason when I was EM in-charge education, I sanctioned infrastructural development like additiol classroom, science laboratory and library in schools mostly under RMSA,” said Ronghang.

He also thanked Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal for holding Gunotsav in West Karbi Anglong in the first phase. “It brought consciousness and coordition among teachers, parents and students,” he said. The CEM lambasted the Congress leaders saying that they were given the opportunity to serve the people for many years but they failed to fulfill the hopes and aspiration of the people. He added that now the council need not highlight the development activities before the people because they were all aware about the development taking place in the district.

Chairman of Veteriry Board, Ditolal Hasnu, chairman of Agriculture Board, Bidyasing Teron and chairman of VDC, Bithung Rengthama Ramson Rongpi were also present. In the meeting, the KAAC CEM also distributed mosquito nets among BPL families of Menmiji area. Around 40 members of the Congress under the leadership of Sonjit Enghee also joined the BJP in the same meeting.
