School celebrates silver jubilee

MARGHERITA, July 2: Ledo Colliery Tirap Gaon Sarbajanin ME School’s silver jubilee celebration began from Friday with grand enthusiasm and gaiety. The school was established in the year 1992. The silver jubilee celebration programme began with marathon race followed by a free health camp, a general meeting and a semir on the present education system. Sarat th, working president of Ledo Colliery Tirap Gaon ME School Silver Jubilee Celebration Committee, delivered the aims and objectives of the programme. The semir was presided over  by Amulya Kumar Baruah, noted educationist,  and was conducted by Dr Ranjit Dutta, retired officer of Coal India Ltd. Jagat Changmai, veteran jourlist and noted social worker of Margherita, was present as the keynote speaker.

Jagat Changmai said that Ledo Colliery Tirap Gaon ME School had completed 25 years but till today it had not been provincialized, which was unfortute.
