School children enthral music lovers at Langting

HAFLONG, March 20: The Shivam Musical School as a part of its 5th Foundation Day celebration organized a musical night on Wednesday which enthralled the huge crowd at Langting, 78 kilometers from Haflong in Dima Hasao district.

Tushar Kanti Deb, Deputy Chairman of N C Hills Autonomous Council iugurated the function by lighting the holy lamp in the presence Major R K Sing, J Shil, former Head Master of Langting High School, Rajmohon Ardao, President of SMS, Anup Kumar Biswas, Chief Editor of Shailo Prabaho, Pankaj Kumar Deb, Executive Editor of Shailo Prabaho and Arup Dey, Principal of SMS besides hundreds of well wishers and citizens of Langting. The students of the SMS performed several items right from Kathak dance, Dimasa traditiol dance to patriotic songs which spellbound the audience.  Earlier, the general secretary of SMS Ashim Deb read out the message of the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of N C Hills Autonomous Council, Debojeet Thaosen, who was supposed to attend the celebration but could make it due to his busy schedule. Tushar Kanti Deb in speech blessed all the students of the school for their every success in their persuasion in music. The guests were felicitated with ‘uttario’.
