School principal killed in accident

Itagar, Feb 6: Principal of Government Higher Secondary School Old Mohong in msai district, Marshal Megu was killed when his vehicle collided with a tractor on Sunday at around 12.30 PM at Dirak Chariali, Kakopathar in Assam’s Tinsukia district. The accident occurred when Megu was on his way from Doomdooma to Mahadevpur, along with SSA Junior Teacher of Government Primary School, Sitpani Miri, Abhram Tayeng, when his Maruti 800 collided with a tractor. While Megu reportedly died on the spot, Tayeng received grievous injuries and is currently admitted in the ICU at Sankardev Hospital in Dibrugarh and is in critical condition, police informed today.
