School safety programme by NDRF

GUWAHATI, Nov 22: The first NDRF Battalion conducted a ‘school safety’  programme at  Kendriya Vidyalaya Maligaon in Guwahati today with the participation of 530 personnel. Around 510 students and 20 teaching staff were benefited.  According to press release, the NDRF Battalion conducted presentation on school safety, disaster in general, drop cover and hold methods  and NDRF functioning. Demonstrations on BLS, bleeding control, emergency moves and improvised rescue aid and school evacuation drill by all participants.  Since its inception NDRF Guwahati endeavours to make the Northeast safe under the direction and supervision of  RK Pachnda, IPS, DG NDRF from all types of disasters.
