School student dies in mishap, two others injured

Tezpur, September 7: In a road accident, a Class VI student of Gyan Bharati School located at BP Tiniali, died on the spot on Wednesday afternoon at around 2.30 pm. As per information, the child, identified as Raktim Saikia, son of Manuj Saikia of Milanpur area under Bebejia police outpost, was on way to his home by bicycle after school when a Tezpur bound bus bearing registration No-AS-o1-U-O159 hit him from backside, besides two other students of Bishnu Jyoti High School at Kundurabari area under the same police outpost near here. However, though the deceased was rushed to the Mission Hospital here, he was later declared dead. The other two children of Class VIII - Himangshu Borah and Shan Borah - who sustained injuries were also rushed to Mission Hospital. They are out of danger.
