GUWAHATI, Oct 27: South Point School students accompanied by their teachers visited Mother Old Age Home, Pub Jyotigar Road, Bamunimaidan on the occasion of Kati Bihu and Diwali recently to spend sometime with the residents there. The students took along with them sweets, fruits etc. that they shared with the elderly inmates. They also doted some money collected from the teachers, staff and students of school to the Home authorities. The group reached the Home at around 11am and were received by the residents with beautiful smiles. Students sang and danced with them thus bringing smiles and cheer on their wrinkled faces. They seemed to forget their loneliness and sorrows for the time being. The visit was indeed a lesson for the students and their accompanying teachers in realising their responsibility towards their parents and grandparents and would definitely make the bond within the immediate families stronger and deeper. This was stated a press release.
