Biswath Chariali, Nov 15: The Biswath Jn Bharati School of Biswath Chariali celebrated its Social Week from November 8 to November 14 with great pomp and display of student talent in cultural and sports activities. The concluding function and annual day on Tuesday started with the chief guest Dr RN Barman, Dean, Biswath College of Agriculture, offering floral tributes to Goddess Saraswati and also to Jawaharlal Nehru. During the preceding six days, various competitions were held among the students and their houses. Dr RN Barman urged the students not to waste even a single minute of their student life. Citing some examples of young talents he said that young students should develop their hidden aptitude in schools. The guest of honour, Prof Prabhat Ch. Gogoi advised the parents to take active part in developing the school and its academic progress and said that if parents do not know the inside of the school and render all kinds of help, the students would ultimately suffer.

Another guest of honour, Dr. Khemraj Nepal, a linguist and an expert in Sanskrit language, offered an apt example of Arju of Mahabharata as to be the best student of all time who was respected even by his gurus, and asked the students to follow his ideals as a student.
