Scientific advisory meeting of KVK

Tezpur, Feb 22: The Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sonitpur was held on Wednesday at the conference hall of Sonitpur Zila Parishad, Tezpur under the chairmanship of Dr HC Bhattacharyya, Director of Extension Education, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat. The meeting thoroughly discussed regarding the action plan to be prepared by the KVK, Sonitpur for the next fincial year, 2018-19.

The Head of KVK, Sonitpur, Dr PC Deka earlier welcomed all the dignitaries and other stakeholders present in the meeting. As per the directive of the chairman, he also presented the action-taken report of the last meeting.  The heads of different line departments or their representative from  agriculture, veteriry, social welfare, forest, industries, sericulture, BARD, NRLM, ASRLM, RSETI, NERIWALM and AIR along with a number of farmers, agri-entrepreneurs and representatives from different NGOs attended the meeting. The meeting were also attended by Dr AK Chakraborty, Director of Research (Veteriry), AAU, Khapara, Dr Rajumoni Bordoloi, Principal Scientist, ATARI, Guwahati, Dr. Prabal Saikia, Chief Scientist, RARS, Lakhimpur and Dr Ranen Barman, Associate Dean, Biswath College of Agriculture.
