GAURISAGAR, Nov 10: Fehujali, a voluntary organization of zira in Sivasagar district, recently organized a three-day long scientific piggery and poultry rearing training programme covering progressive farmers of zira and Mahmora area. The training camp was iugurated by MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa. Addressing the participants, Tasa urged them to devote themselves to scientific rearing of piggery, duckery and poultry for self-dependence. He also expressed his satisfaction at the activities of Sundarpukhuri Milk Cooperative society for taking a vital role in self-employment generation by rearing of cows.
In this regard he lauded the effort of noted veteriry surgeon Dr Jagadish Barman. In the open session, social worker and president of BJP Sivasagar District Committee, Bhaben Mohan, Prahlad Gowala, president, Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha, Dr Khanindra Deva Goswami, and Dr Phuleswar th, Programme Coorditor, KVK, Sivasagar were present. A total of 1,246 participants from various parts of zira and Mahmora took part in the training programme.
