Gohpur, Sept 2: Department of physics, Chaiduar College, Gohpur organized a scientific talk on Friday. Head of Department (HoD) of physics Dr Lakhi Buragohain initiated the programme, which was followed by the iuguration of the departmental annual wall magazine “QUANTA”, by principal Dr Anjan Kr Ozah. Ozah also iugurated the scientific talk ‘Philosopher’s Sky’ where invited speaker Dr Kishore Kumar Baruah of physics department, Tezpur Central University delivered a talk on the aforesaid topic. Vice principal Dr Jagath Upadhaya, a number of teachers and several students were present during the talk. Physics department faculties Dr Nilamoni Saikia, Dr Rita Moni Borah, Jnyan Rajkhowa, Shinjit Kamal Borah and alumni Paban Borah took part in the interaction session. The programme was followed by offering of a certificate and cash award of rupees ten thousand to the best graduate of physics department, Chaiduar College for the year 2017, Damayanti Hazarika. The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Ex Head and Interl Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) coorditor of the college Professor Soumitram Baruah.
