Scouts & Guides summer camp at Boko

BOKO, July 11: A five-day of Scouts and Guides training camp was organized at Don Bosco School, Boko with the theme, “Learning to Live and Share”, a press release said.

A total of 650 students of 22 schools from the different parts of Assam took part in the camp.

The camp was made a memorable one for every participant with the meticulously planned and well organized programes and the active participation of the students. Living together without any discrimition and differences; sharing with one another their life; ideas, talents, energy, and happiness and living under the same roof taking care of one another , the campers experienced the joy of being the children of the Lord who is love without any condition.

The State Chief  Commissioner of Assam of Scouts and Guides, Apsara Hazarika, the state secretary of scouts and guides,  Fr.V.M. Thomas the Provincial, Fr. Johnson, the director of DBI, Fr. Benny Alex the economer of the  Salesian Province of Assam addressed the participants at different occasions between 3rd to 8th July.

The camp was organized by the Principal of Don Bosco School, Boko, Fr. Saju Kariyil along with the school team.
